Composite score (0–100) from WB governance, democracy, Heritage/FRED, and rank information – for research and audit.NationFiles NFSI Geopolitical Risk Analysis![]() Skip to content Methodology, map & how to readHow the GGI is built, how to read the map and analyst charts, and what snapshot data can and cannot do. Methodology & compositeThe GGI averages weak percentile ranks (0–100) across at least four valid pillars (WB governance, democracy, EF sub-indices, optional rank). Missing values are not imputed; only countries with enough coverage get a composite. Map & bucketsThe choropleth colours countries by GGI composite. Legend filters dim other decile buckets to highlight regional clusters. Percentiles & heatmapThe heatmap shows, for leading countries (by composite), each pillar’s percentile profile. Darker cells mean a stronger relative position in that pillar; compare columns horizontally. Risk & NFSI contextNFSI is a separate stability score. Scatters and “GGI−NFSI” show where governance and stability context diverge—useful for due diligence, not a forecast. Table & exportThe ranking lists raw values and pillar counts. JSON/CSV carry the same fields for your own models and audit trails. Data provenanceField-level mapping (provider, series, internal table).
Legends & how to readShort notes on what each visual measures—and what it does not replace.
Map and chartsChoropleth by GGI, leaderboards, and links to NFSI and economic freedom.
Divergence = GGI−NFSI only where both values exist. Not investment advice. World map (GGI)Colours by GGI buckets; legend filters dim other values. DistributionHistogram of GGI across countries with a valid composite. GGI distributionNumber of countries per ten-point bin (0–100). Analyst deckProfiles, distribution of the governance–stability gap, and pillar means—data you would otherwise stitch together by hand. Pillar heatmap (top countries)Percentile grid for quick country comparison. Pillar radarTop, median and floor curves; pick a country to overlay. Distribution of GGI−NFSIHow often does governance sit above or below the NFSI context? Mean pillar profileAverage percentile per pillar across all countries with a GGI. GGI vs stability gapEach point is a country; vertical axis is GGI−NFSI. Top GGILower GGINFSI × GGIContext: stability score vs governance composite. Economic freedom × GGIHeritage/FRED overall vs GGI. Democracy vs GGIOWID raw value against the composite; spot outliers. Raw values & rankingSorted by GGI composite; raw pillar values for verification. NFSI for context; methodology: NFSI
